Mainly Dry on Sunday

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – Mainly dry for the next couple days, but an area of low pressure along the coast will bring a better chance for rain on Tuesday and Wednesday.

TONIGHT: Cloudy and dry with lows in the mid-50s.

SUNDAY: Aside from a few sprinkles, most of the area will stay dry. Peeks of sun are likely throughout the day, especially further north. It’ll be a mild day with temperatures in the upper 60s on Sunday afternoon.

MONDAY: Highs near 70°. Broken clouds for most of the day, then becoming overcast in the evening as clouds build in from the south. A light shower is possible after sunset.

TUESDAY/WEDNESDAY RAIN: Periods of rain are likely on Tuesday and Wednesday as an area of low pressure tracks along the Gulf coast. It looks like rainfall totals will be split in our area. Less rain to the north, more rain to the south. Some places could get more than half an inch of rain from this system! We’ll continue to watch the trends and update the forecast as needed, but for now, plan for breezy, cool, and soggy weather on Tuesday/Wednesday.
