OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Winston County man was accused of breaking into cars at an Oktibbeha County apartment complex.

William Sullivan, 19, turned himself into Oktibbeha County deputies Friday morning.

He’s charged with two counts of auto burglary.

Deputies first started investigating the break-ins about two months ago at the Retreat Apartments.

Sullivan’s bond was set at $20,000.

Lt. Jon Davis said several apartments in the city and county are being hit by thieves right now. He encouraged everyone, including returning students to lock their doors and don’t leave valuables inside their vehicle.
