Man accused of burglarizing construction site

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI)- A Booneville man faces several charges accused of burglarizing a home construction site.

Russell Hutcheson, 37, is charged with Burglary, Malicious Mischief, Petty Larceny and Trespassing.

Investigators say over the weekend the work site on County Road 5011, in the Wheeler Community, workers had equipment in place to do dirt work.

It was reported that batteries from two pieces of equipment were stolen along damage in an effort to get the batteries.

A shop building on the site was also burglarized.

Deputies say they found Hutcheson in possession of four batteries.

He remains in the Prentiss County jail.
