Man arrested after three ounces of weed found in car

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – A traffic stop leads to a felony drug bust in Amory.

On Friday, officers pulled over a car for a misdemeanor traffic violation.

Officers then noticed a strong smell of coming from the car. Approximately three ounces of marijuana was found in the car.

Willie Franks Jr., 35, of Aberdeen, was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. He also faces misdemeanor charges.

Bond was set at $5,000.

Franks Jr. is currently out on bond.
