Man calls police, ends up getting arrested

AMORY, Miss. (WCBI) – Amory police officers arrived at a hotel on March 3 after receiving a call that a large crowd was threatening a man.

When officers arrived, they only found the caller, Thomase Hyde, 31, of Aberdeen.

Officers then discovered Hyde had an active warrant.

After his arrest, methamphetamine was also found in Hyde’s possession, along with misdemeanor drugs.

Hyde was charged with Felony Possession of a Controlled Substance. He also faces misdemeanor charges.

Bond has not been set yet.
