Man charged in connection to Lamar County stabbing

LAMAR COUNTY, Ala. (WCBI) – Millport Police have charged a man in connection with a Wednesday afternoon stabbing.

Steve Oglesby Jr., 41, of Reform, was charged with second-degree assault.

Investigators believed Oglesby stabbed Ronald Thomas during an incident Wednesday just outside the South Lamar High School football field.

Thomas suffered non-life-threatening injuries.

Chief Charles White said the investigation is on-going.
