Man charged with murder in Indiana arrested in Starkville

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A man accused of killing his barber in Indiana was arrested in Starkville.

James Dodson Jr. was arrested by U.S. Marshals on Ware Street Thursday afternoon.

CBS station WANE reported Dodson was charged last month with Murder and Criminal Recklessness.

Michael LoVett Jr. was shot outside his Fort Wayne, Indiana barber shop on April 9 and died at the scene.

Oktibbeha County deputies were unclear what type of connection Dodson had to Starkville.

He is awaiting extradition.
