Man pleads guilty to fondling in Prentiss Co.

TUPELO, Miss. (WCBI) – A Prentiss County man was sentenced to 15 years to serve day-to-day.

Joey Dale Dearman, 51, pled guilty to two counts of fondling a minor child.

The incident stems from a charge out of Prentiss County.

First Circuit District Judge John R. White sentenced Dearman to 15 years in the custody of the Mississippi Department of Corrections.

That’s the maximum penalty for one count of fondling.

Because of the nature of the cases, he will serve his time day for day.
