Man Recovering After After Jumping From Bridge

COLUMBUS (WCBI) – A man is recovering today hours after jumping from the Luxapalila bridge .
The Columbus Police Department responded to reports of a person jumping from a bridge  on Waterworks road just after 9 Tuesday night.   Columbus Police along with Columbus Fire and Rescue found the 21 year old about 10 minutes after he leaped from the bridge.  Police say he landed in a portion of the creek bed which was dry because of the lack of rain.  He was transported to the hospital for treatment and observation.  Police add the unidentified man was emotionally upset over the recent loss of his mother.
