Man shot by Tishomingo County deputies continues to recover

TISHOMINGO COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A man continues to recover in a Memphis hospital after being shot by Tishomingo County deputies.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation says deputies were called to 207 County Road 294, in Burnsville, for a domestic incident on yesterday evening, April 4.

Investigators say deputies were confronted by a man with a long gun. He was told to drop the gun but refused.

MBI says the man lifted the gun toward deputies and they fired.

The shooting remains under investigation.
