Man who shot at deputies indicted

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A Lowndes County man was indicted after being arrested for allegedly shooting at deputies.

John Deloach was charged with Aggravated Assault on a Law Enforcement Officer.

The incident happened in January, just off Highway 12.

Deputies were called about shots being fired.

In body camera footage you can hear the shots ringing out and bullets flying by deputies.

Investigators said Deloach eventually stopped shooting and got into a vehicle but he was pulled over a short time later and arrested.

No one was injured in the incident.
