Manslaughter Charges in Noxubee County

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – An update this evening, December 21, on a homicide in Noxubee County in early November.

Investigators have charged Christopher Scott with manslaughter in the death of 23 year old Dantrell Franklin.

The shooting happened on Church Street in Shuqualak November 10th.

Noxubee County Coroner RL Calhoun says the Shuqualak man died from a single gunshot wound to the head.

Scott turned himself in to deputies after being named a person of interest in the investigation.

He remains in the Noxubee County jail.

Bond has not been set.
