Market Street Festival Brings A Lot Of Business

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) –  The  Market Street Festival helps bring in a lot of people and revenue to town.  Vendor booths are set up in front of downtown buildings, but they aren’t keeping people away from them.

Some stores aren’t open during the festival, but the ones that are see extra business.

“The ones that can stay open, like I say people come you know, you look around here, and you see people that you’ll never see any other time of the year, and so it just gives them a chance to see what downtown is all about, and you know if they came, and they like it, they’ll be back,” says downtown property owner, Bill Strauss.
