Maryland man who apparently attacked pelican faces possible criminal charges

A Maryland man faces possible criminal charges for apparently attacking a federally protected pelican. Hunter Hardesty posted video of the incident in the Florida Keys to Facebook last week. State wildlife officials say he enticed the pelican then jumped into the water on top of it. According to Florida state law, it’s illegal to even attract pelicans with food.
