Michael Guest swears in to Congress

WASHINGTON, DC (WCBI) – Mississippi’s Third Congressional District has a new Congressman.

Michael Guest is officially sworn into office in Washington, D.C. Thursday.

Senator Roger Wicker read Guest the oath of office in the swearing in ceremony at the Library of Congress.

The event was ceremonial.

Guest replaced Greg Harper who retired this year.

The third district includes Starkville, Mississippi State and Meridian along with Pearl, and much of Rankin County. The district then sweeps west to include Natchez.
