Mississippi Speaker of the House stops by Columbus

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Mississippi House Speaker Phillip Gunn stopped by the Columbus Rotary Club Tuesday afternoon.

Gunn spoke to members about a few hot topics including education and roads and bridges.

But with the primary run-off today and candidates starting to focus on November he also spoke about a new chapter.

He said he knows everyone vying for the role Governor and Lt. Governor and wishes them the best of luck.

“Well it is always a learning curve. I know all the people running on both sides and I think I have a good relationship with all of them we will see who prevails and we will look forward to working with whoever is the one that holds those offices,” said Gunn.

Both the Lt. Governor and Governor seats will be decided during the November 5 election.
