Mississippi State LB Willie Gay Announces Decision To Go Pro

STARKVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — Mississippi State junior linebacker Willie Gay announced on his twitter account Monday that he will enter the 2020 NFL draft, forgoing his senior season.

Gay recorded 95 tackles, 6 sacks, and 3 interceptions in 27 career games at Mississippi State. Gay missed eight games in his junior season due to a suspension.

Gay, a Starkville high school alumnus, was the WCBI EndZone Defensive Player of the Year in 2016.

The four-star recruits recorded 211 tackles (150 solo), seven sacks, and seven interceptions in his high school career.
