Monroe County Sheriff’s Office arrests two accused of trafficking meth
MONROE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Monroe County Sheriff’s Office makes 4 arrests connected to an operation that was reportedly moving a considerable amount of meth out of the Athens community.
Tuesday, deputies arrested Ronald D. “Pepsi” Herrington and Jatarvis “Tae Grip” Vasser at Herrington’s home on Schoolhouse Road.
The Sheriff’s Office accuses Herrington of selling what it describes as trafficking quantities of methamphetamine to buyers in the Athens and Lackey area.

To qualify as trafficking in Mississippi, the amount of meth has to be 30 grams or more.
Vasser is accused of helping Herrington with the deliveries.
JARTAVIS “TAE GRIP” VASSER
Both men are charged with Trafficking Methamphetamine and Conspiracy to Traffick Methamphetamine.
Herrington is out on a $20,000 bond.
Vasser had to post a $50,000 bond.
Two other people at Herrington’s home were also arrested and charged with trafficking. Another was charged with Possession of Marijuana.
