Montgomery Co. Storm Victims Now Eligible For SBA Loans
PEARL – Gov. Phil Bryant’s request for disaster assistance was approved by the U.S. Small Business Administration for Holmes and Montgomery counties for damage caused by the April 30th severe weather outbreak. The SBA Disaster declaration also covers the adjacent counties of Attala, Carroll, Choctaw, Grenada, Humphreys, Leflore, Madison, Webster and Yazoo in Mississippi.
Residents, businesses and non-profit organizations in those designated counties that were affected by severe weather, tornadoes, wind, torrential rains, lighting and flooding on April 30, 2017, are eligible to apply for low interest loans for recovery.
The SBA will open Disaster Loan Outreach Centers at the following locations:
Holmes County

SBA’s customer service representatives will be available at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center to answer questions about the disaster loan program and help individuals complete their applications.
Applicants can apply at the Disaster Loan Outreach Center, online at https://disasterloan.sba.gov/ela, by calling 1-800-659-2955 (1-800-877-8339 for the deaf or hard-of-hearing) or by emailingdisastercustomerservice@sba.gov. Loan applications can also be downloaded from the SBA’s website at www.sba.gov.
Loans up to $200,000 are available to homeowners to repair or replace damaged or destroyed real estate. Homeowners and renters are eligible for loans up to $40,000 to repair or replace damaged or destroyed personal property. Loans to businesses of all sizes and non-profit organizations will be available to repair damage to real estate, machinery, equipment and inventory. Loan amount and terms are set by the SBA and are based on each applicant’s financial condition
