Mostly sunny and breezy start to the week

COLUMBUS, Mississippi (WCBI) – A couple of cold fronts will sweep through the Southeast this week, bringing breezy and eventually colder days.

MONDAY: Expect a mostly sunny and breezy afternoon with highs in the upper 50s to low 60s.

TUESDAY: Another breezy day is in store as yet another cold front works through the region. Highs should bounce back into the lower 60s by afternoon, but substantially colder air will follow for Wednesday.

REST OF WEEK: Wednesday will be the coldest 24 hour stretch over the next 7 days. High pressure builds in behind Tuesday’s front, bringing highs down into the lower 50s Wednesday afternoon. Lows will then dip into the upper 20s most likely Wednesday night into Thursday morning. A quick rebound in temperature is expected through the rest of the week, reaching 70 degrees by Saturday. A strong system looks to affect the Southeast Saturday or Saturday night, potentially bringing with it stronger thunderstorms…we’ll keep you updated!
