MSU Schedule Change for Weekend Series Against Maine

STARKVILLE, Miss. (MSU Athletics) – The Mississippi State baseball program and head coach Chris Lemonis announced a change in the schedule for the March 8-10 weekend series with Maine. The Diamond Dawgs and Black Bears will now play a doubleheader at 3 p.m. on Friday, March 8 and a single game on Sunday, March 10 at Noon.

Friday’s games will both be broadcast on the MSU Radio Network, with 45 minutes between game one and two of the doubleheader. On Sunday, the contest will be aired locally on 96.1 FM, with all three games available via hailstate.com/plus.

State enters the weekend with a 12-1 overall record and is a consensus top-10 team entering the fourth weekend of the regular season. It is the best start to a season since the 2015 team started 13-0. The Bulldogs have won eight-straight games entering the weekend, including four wins over top 25 teams during that stretch.

On Friday, the first 500 students can pick up a free spring break tank top during the second game of the doubleheader at the right field entrance. Sunday, the first set of Bulldog Baseball trading Cards will be distributed and it will the Kids Day at the Park Presented by Le Bohneur, with Kids Run the Bases Postgame (weather permitting).
