Murder charges dropped against Starkville woman

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The District Attorney’s office is dropping a murder charge against an Oktibbeha County woman.

Latice Fisher was indicted on a second-degree murder in January 2018.

District Attorney Scott Colom says some medical tests performed on Fisher’s child could have “confounding factors,” which could “impact the validity of the results.”

Investigators are trying to determine whether Fisher’s baby was born dead or alive back on April 28, 2017.

Once additional medical tests are complete, the case will be re-presented to a grand jury.
