Names of Lowndes Co. Wreck Victims Released

LOWNDES COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — The Mississippi Highway Patrol has released some of the names of those involved in a Lowndes County wreck that injured eight people Tuesday night.

The accident happened on Highway 69 near Fantasy Land, and involved three cars.

Troopers say 20-year-old Jada Price, of Hamilton, tried to turn left in front of 64-year-old Rodney Brown, of Bremen, Georgia. Their cars collided.

Then another crash occurred when officials say 68-year-old Jimmy Ledsworth hit Brown’s truck.

Price – along with four other passengers – was taken to Baptist Memorial Hospital-Golden Triangle with serious injuries.

A sixth passenger was airlifted to University of Mississippi Medical Center in Jackson, and is now in stable condition.

Both Brown and Ledsworth were also taken to Baptist-Golden Triangle with non-life threatening injuries.

MHP is still investigating the wreck.
