Names Of Potential OCH Owners Released

STARKVILLE (WCBI) – Two names familiar to North Mississippi as potential buyers of the Oktibbeha County Regional Hospital.

Baptist Memorial Health Systems and North Mississippi Health Services are the two firms who answered the Request For Proposals.  Baptist Memorial operates BMH – Golden Triangle in Columbus and BMH – Oxford along with area clinics. North Mississippi Health Services is the parent company of North Mississippi Medical Center which has its main campus in Tupelo and operates  NMMC- West Point as well as clinics around the region.   No dollar amounts of the respective bids have been released.    The next step in the potential OCH sale comes in November when Oktibbeha County voters will vote on a referendum authorizing the sale of the hospital.
