Narcotics Recovered, Two Arrested After Foot Chase

CLAY COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – A trio of suspects resist arrest during a traffic stop that turned up a large load of illegal narcotics.

Brandon Thompson and William Morrow were arrested Monday, March 12, on CCC Line Road in Clay County.

Thompson, 32, the driver, reportedly attempted to distract deputies while Morrow and another suspect ran.

Eventually Morrow, 34, was captured after a brief struggle, even trying to steal a deputies firearm.

Over 30 grams of cocaine was recovered along with pills including Aderol, Xanax and Hydrocodone valued around $3,500 – $4,000.

The deputy suffered only minor injuries, but the third suspect was able to escape.

Sheriff Scott says the narcotics have been sent to the Mississippi Crime Lab for DNA analysis.
