NCAA Completes Committee on Infractions Hearing with Ole Miss

COVINGTON, Ky. (WCBI) — What was expected to be done in three days got completed in two.

According to reports from the Clarion-Ledger’s Antonio Morales, the NCAA’s Committee on Infractions hearing regarding the investigation into the football program at Ole Miss is finished.

Ole Miss chancellor Jeff Vitter, athletic director Ross Bjork, interim head coach Matt Luke and Ole Miss assistant coaches were in attendance for the two day hearing. Former head coach Hugh Freeze and former assistant Barney Farrar were also in attendance.

The hearing was expected to last until Wednesday in Covington but was completed Tuesday evening.

Now that the hearing/trial is complete, the waiting period begins for a verdict.

It’s expected that the NCAA won’t make an official ruling on their investigation into the Ole Miss football program for another 6-8 weeks.
