CLAY CO., Miss. (WCBI) — It’s the second day on the job for two year old Bruno, the Australian Malinois crime stopping dog.

Bruno, Clay County S.O.’s new crime stopping canine.
The Clay County Sheriff’s Department will use the K-9 to help stop drug trafficking and for tracking purposes.
Bruno just wrapped up a five week training program, and Sheriff Eddie Scott says, “…we intend to make this dog available for the Golden Triangle area and the city of West Point.”
Scott said the department is still waiting to determine the total price tag of Bruno and his equipment, but he anticipates it to be around $10 to $12 thousand dollars.
“There is a lot of dope moving around…”, said Scott, “…Drugs continue to be a common denominator in a lot of our crimes.
“Our focus is to go after the actual trafficking to [kind of] cut the head off a snake.”
