New pool for all coming to Vernon

VERNON, Ala. (WCBI) – Vernon will soon have a public pool that will be accessible for people with disabilities. 

Alabama Governor Kay Ivey made the announcement today. 

The $229,000 grant must be equally matched with cash or in-kind services. 

The pool will be built at Vernon City Park.  

1.5 million dollars in Land and Water Conservation Fund grants were awarded to 10 Alabama towns.
