North Miss. Man Enters Murder Plea

BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) — A Booneville man will spend the next 35 years looking through prison bars.

27-year-old James Erik Robinson is headed there after admitting he killed a Booneville woman last year.

Andrea Nicole Fleming died May 1, 2015, after being shot in the chest at a Water Tank Road home, just outside the Booneville city limits.

District Attorney John Weddle says the case built by Prentiss County investigators played a role in the decision to take a plea.

Judge Jim Pounds ordered Robinson to serve each day of the 35-year term.
