Noxubee Co. Sheriff sends warning against dog fighting and animal cruelty

NOXUBEE COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – The Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department is sending residents a warning against dog fighting and animal cruelty.
According to the department, dog fighting and animal cruelty will not be tolerated in the county.
A release states that if people are participating, sponsoring, or organizing dog fights, to stop immediately, or they will be punished to the fullest extent of the law.
The department has received reports of it happening and dogs being killed and discarded in ditches and bridges.
Currently, the Noxubee County Board of Supervisors is working to install cameras to combat the issue.
Anyone with any information on dog fighting, animal cruelty, or animals being killed and discarded should contact the Noxubee County Sheriff’s Department
