Ole Miss Suspends Two Players for Season Opener After Shoplifting Arrests

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) — Ole Miss will be down two important defense players going into the season opener on September 2nd.

Head coach Matt Luke announced at Wednesday’s media day press conference in Oxford that junior defensive back Ken Webster and junior linebacker Detric Bing-Dukes will be suspended for the first game of the 2017 season versus South Alabama following a shoplifting arrest on Tuesday evening.

Webster and Bing-Dukes were released an hour later on Tuesday night following the arrest.

Both players will continue to practice with the team and are expected to play in week 2 versus UT Martin.
