Ole Miss WR A.J. Brown Declares for NFL Draft

Oxford, Miss. (WCBI) — With no bowl game on the horizon for Ole Miss, junior wide receiver A.J. Brown has declared for the 2019 NFL Draft.

Brown released an announcement on Twitter saying that he would be foregoing his senior season in order to enter into the draft.

He thanked both Ole Miss and the community for the support since his arrival, calling Oxford “a second home.”

The Starkville native was recently voted All-SEC after the 2018 season.

Despite struggles for the Rebels, Brown remained a constant having 1,320 receiving yards for six touchdowns.

Brown also holds the all-time leading receiver title at Ole Miss.

Brown ended the statement by saying “I love you, Ole miss and it is true: you don’t have to be blood to be family. You just have to be real.”

The 2019 NFL Draft is set to begin Thursday, April 25th.
