One suspect caught in Oktibbeha County aggravated assault

UPDATE: Suspect Chad Tharp turned himself in at 8 p.m. Friday. Both had initial court appearances Saturday. Tharp’s bond was set at $6,000 and Fleming’s bond was set at $15,500.

OKTIBBEHA COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) – One of the suspects wanted in an aggravated assault case in Okitbbeha County is now behind bars.

Lt. Jon Davis said Jonathan Fleming, 46, was taken into custody Friday afternoon.

Investigators said he was found at a residence in Choctaw County.

Meanwhile, the search is still on for Chad Tharp, 46.

The two men are accused of an aggravated assault incident along J.Y. Turner Road early Thursday morning.
