One Woman Dies in Benton County Crash

BENTON COUNTY, Miss. (MHP)- The Mississippi Highway Patrol continues their investigation in a single-vehicle crash that claimed the life of a north Mississippi woman.

The crash happened on MS 4 in Benton County.

Troopers were dispatched to the crash scene, near Snow Lake, at around 9:30 p.m. on September 12.

According to MHP, it appears 24-year-old Summer M. Alley of Ashland, was traveling west on MS 4 when she apparently lost control of her 2003 Chevrolet Impala.

Her vehicle then left the roadway and collided into a tree, which caused a fire.

Alley died at the scene due to injuries sustained during the crash.
