Oxford man accused of breaking into pharmacy

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – Police say a pharmacy burglary is behind bars after trying to take pills that didn’t belong to him.

John Weathersbee, 42, is accused of breaking into G&M Pharmacy. Police allege he cut the power into the building, shattered the glass on the front door, and took off with a controlled substance before police could arrive.

Police were able to identify Weathersbee after they released pictures from surveillance cameras at the pharmacy.

Weathersbee was also linked to a February 2019 car burglary.

He was charged with two counts of Commercial Burglary and Possession of Burglary Tools.

His bond was set at $25,000.
