Oxford police officer charged in connection to woman’s murder

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – A police officer faces charges after an Oxford woman was found dead.

According to the online news organization, HottyToddy.com, Oxford Police Officer Matthew Kinne was charged in connection with the murder of Dominque Lashelle Clayton.

Officer Kinne was taken into custody late Monday night.

Hotty Toddy reported his arrest in connection to the 32-year-old’s death.

Clayton was found dead Sunday afternoon in a home on Suncrest Street.

A mobile app called Mobile Patrol has Kinne listed as an inmate at the Panola County Jail, along with a mugshot.

The Panola County Sheriff’s Office would not confirm if they are holding Kinee.

A press conference is currently underway in Oxford to update news outlets on the investigation so far.

The Mississippi Bureau of Investigation is assisting in this case.
