Oxford Puts Suspected Burglar In The Bag

OXFORD, MS (WCBI) –  A man with a bag full of stuff isn’t too strange on December 25th but walking the streets like that  in June will catch an officers attention.

54 year old James Mathis of Oxford faces a burglary charge after an investigator spotted him walking down the road with a bag thrown over his shoulder.  Mathis let the officer look inside the bag and tha’ts when numerous items taken from a home burglary were located.   Mathis’ bond is set at $2,500.
