Pedestrian Airlifted To Hospital After Being Hit By Car

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI)- One person was rushed to the hospital after being hit by a car in Columbus Wednesday night.

Police Chief Fred Shelton said it was just before 9 o’clock when a pedestrian was struck by a car on Main Street near the entrance of Propst Park.

Shelton said the person was in the moving lane of traffic.

The pedestrian was taken to the hospital and is listed in critical condition.

This accident remains under investigation by the Columbus Police Department.
