Person in custody after baby found unresponsive in Oxford

OXFORD, Miss. (WCBI) – One person is in custody after a baby was found unresponsive in Oxford.

This past Sunday, police received a 911 call, from a home on Frontage Road

When officers arrived, they began CPR on the child until an EMS crew arrived.

The infant was later pronounced dead at Baptist Memorial Hospital-North Mississippi.

Investigators have one person in custody.

Charges will be filed later Monday.
