Police searching for armed robbery suspects that shot Pontotoc store clerk in head

PONTOTOC, Miss. (WCBI) – A store clerk in Pontotoc is recovering after being shot in the head during an armed robbery.

Police are now searching for three suspects.

Pontotoc Police said three suspects went into the Eastside Quick Stop on East Oxford Street with handguns and demanded money.

During the robbery, police said one of the suspects fired a shot injuring the owner.

This all happened last night just before 10-30.

Police were first called to MLK Drive after someone called reporting they saw a car parked in an odd place.

Shortly after that is when police got a distress call from the Quick Stop.
