Pontotoc County Deadly Crash

PONTOTOC COUNTY, Miss.(WCBI) – The Mississippi Highway Patrol is still investigating a single vehicle crash in Pontotoc County that claimed the life of a Leland resident.

Early Thursday morning, 52 year old Eddie Arendale was traveling south on Highway 9 when he lost control of his vehicle and collided into an embankment.

The vehicle caught fire after the crash.

Arendale died on the scene.
