Prayer and politics intersect at Charleston church that suffered 2015 shooting

Emanuel AME Church in Charleston, South Carolina, is a symbol of resilience and hope. Nearly five years ago, in June of 2015, a white supremacist shot and killed nine worshippers at the historic church known for its political activism. Gayle King visited the church, where House Majority Whip James Clyburn was lending his political expertise to the Congressional Black Caucus Institute’s workshop.
