Prentiss Co. Deputies Make Drug Arrest

PRENTISS COUNTY, Miss. (WCBI) — A Ripley man is behind bars on drug charges in Prentiss County.

Deputies say they arrested 44-year-old Tracy Stroupe early Saturday morning, after learning he had nearly 20 grams of crystal meth.

Stroupe was arrested following a traffic stop on County Road 8561.

There, investigators seized his pickup truck, a 22 caliber rifle, and more than $900 in cash.

Stroupe is being charged with possession of methamphetamine with the intent to sell or distribute, enhanced while in possession of a firearm.

His bond was set at $20,000 for the drug charges, and he remains in jail.
