Red Cross disaster relief efforts continue in Columbus
COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – Red Cross service numbers grow as relief for tornado and flooding victims continue.
Shelters and feeding operations are taking place in four counties.
Red Cross says there’s been nearly 70 people to register at the Columbus shelter.
The organization has over 100 workers helping with disaster response with more expected.
Red Cross has served over 2,800 meals, supplied 180 cleanup kits and 112 comfort kits.
Damage assessments are underway.
The Red Cross said it will continue working with government and community partners, sharing information about available resources to help storm survivors regain from their loss.
