Reform police officer under investigation for taser incident caught on video

REFORM, Ala. (WCBI) – Disturbing video of a taser being used on a man in handcuffs sparks a state investigation.

A WCBI viewer sent us a video of a man being arrested by a Reform, Alabama police officer.

The video only showed the man in handcuffs and being walked to the front of the patrol car.

He was bent over the hood when the officer recovered a gun the man told her about.

She laughed and then tased the man in the back, while he was clearly not resisting arrest.

The officer also used profanity calling the man a name.

Sources said there was a physical altercation before this video began.

The man in handcuffs was reportedly facing drug charges, but his identity had not been officially released.

In a statement, Reform Police Chief Richard Black said materials related to the December 2 arrest were being handed over to the Alabama State Bureau of Investigation.

An investigation had been requested by the police department.

The unnamed officer was on administrative leave while the investigation was ongoing.
