BOONEVILLE, Miss. (WCBI) – A report of a possible shoplifter leads to an arrest on weapons charges in Booneville.
On Thursday, August 13, Prentiss County Dispatch got a call about a possible shoplifting at Tractor Supply.
The suspect ran toward the New China Buffet.
Prentiss County Constable Bryon Parker was in the area and responded, as did Booneville Police officers.
Constable Parker located the suspect, Jonathan Decanter of Falkner, who was reportedly trying to hide behind the restaurant.
During his search of Decanter, Parker reportedly found a set of brass knuckles and a knife.
Decanter was taken into custody. His backpack was searched and reportedly contained several unopened packages of merchandise, another set of brass knuckles, and a large fixed-blade knife.
