Robbery On Campus

MISSISSIPPI UNIVERSITY FOR WOMEN, Miss. (WCBI) – A suspect in last night’s MUW robbery flees police in the midst of questioning.

According to a Mississippi University for Women spokesperson, an employee of the university was struck and robbed near Fant Hall.

Campus Police along with Columbus P.D. responded to the call around 8:40 last night, December 13.

Before they could arrive however, the suspect reportedly fled on foot towards 15th and Washington.

An individual matching the suspect’s description was later stopped, but fled during question, dropping some of the victim’s personal items.

Authorities have a person of interest at this time and the investigation is ongoing.
