JD McPherson grew up on an Oklahoma cattle ranch where he took up the guitar at age 13 and started playing in bands three years later. His 2012 debut “Signs and Signifiers” cracked Billboard’s top 50 rock albums chart. Three albums later, he’s out with “Socks,” his first holiday collection featuring all original music.
