Search On For Fleet Footed Driver

LEE COUNTY (WCBI) – Lee County deputies want to know why a driver fled from what was supposed to be a routine traffic stop.  Sheriff Jim Johnson says officers are searching near Auburn Road and Feemster Lake Road for 28 year old Casey Smith.

Deputies had pulled Smith over when he just jumped out and ran into the woods.  Johnson says right now Smith only faces misdemeanor charges.  Anyone with information on where the 28 year old might be can call the Lee County Sheriffs Department of Crimestoppers of Northeast Mississippi.
