Search On For Missing Tupelo K-9

TUPELO (WCBI) – The search continues for a missing Tupelo K-9 officer. The 10 year old Belgian Malinois slipped out of his kennel and handlers backyard around 7:30 last night.

The dog has been seen in the Mooreville and Auburn area but so far has not been captured. Tupelo Police say Alec is not overtly aggressive but if he is spotted you should call 9-1-1 and let a trained canine handler capture him.

Alec is the K-9 officer who was involved in the Antwun Shumpert case but police do not suspect any kind of foul play involved in Alec’s disappearance. If you have any information you are asked to call Crimestoppers of Northeast Mississippi at 1-800-773-T-I-P-S.
